Q: Can someone please tell me why I have terrible wind noise in my 2003 Subaru Baja and how to fix it? Thanks?
The windows and doors seem to be sealed ok, but the wind noise is so very loud. I have even called Subaru and they said it could be several things, but gave me no satisfactory answer. Has anyone else had this problem and is their a solution?
A: If the wind noise is coming from the top of the doors, you can adjust the glass up and in a little to seal it. If I am not mistaken, the window glass seals to the body which may be the cause of the noise.
Q: Looking for a direct replacement performance exhaust for a turbo subaru baja. Anyone have a part number?
A: call local subaru parts dept...my wife has a baha...we love it [no turbo] try a tuner magazine from supermarket/bookstore... there must be 10 to 15 at my sup...
Q: what kind of transmission fluid does a subaru baja use?
2004 has 2.5
A: depending on the trans a-lot of them run on DEXTRON an automatic trans fluid.
And so you don't screw up the trans call the dealer.
Q: 2003 subaru baja squeals loudly when a turn is initiated. It then continues when car is going straight. Ideas?
The squeal sounds like it would be the brakes. I took it to a local shop. They said it's not the brakes causing it. The wheel bearings are tight. They couldn't give me an answer.
Also, I noticed that if it's wet out it doesn't do it.
A: If you hear the sound when you are turning left, it is the right side wheel bearing. If you hear it when turning right, it is the left side. If it continues when going straight, it still could be the bearing.
I have a Baja and there were times when the brakes would squeal, but not all the time. I took the brake pads off and applied some brake lubricant between the shims and to the outside of the shims. The squeaking stopped. Mine were mostly squeaking when stopping.
Q: Is there any chance that Subaru will bring back the Baja or a similar truck type?
I loved my old Brats and even survived a head-on with a drunk in a van, in one (barely). Just getting to like the Baja and now they are gone.
A: No chance. I work at Subaru and we have no plans to revive them. There are still some Baja's left at dealerships if you want to get one before they are gone.
Q: subaru baja ground clearance?
looking to buy a 2003 baja. what is the actual ground clearance? In researching I see a conflicting 7.4 and 8.3 inches.
A: Check to see if you have fog lights. If you do you loose about a 1 inch clearance. Toyota's Suv's, croossovers, and trucks have highest clearance which is 10.5 inches.
Q: 2006 Subaru Baja Turbo - Blow-Off-Valve?
I am looking for a Blow-Off-Valve for a 2006 Subaru Baja Turbo. I want something that is reliable. I am looking for a blow-off-valve that is a direct fit for the baja with little or no modifications required. What are my options.
A: Do your research before buying one just for the "sound" as they offer no real performance benefit to a stock vehicle. Keep in mind that if your car is under warranty and something goes wrong, Subaru will deny your claim in a heartbeat.
Q: Where can buy a bike rack for a Subaru Baja Bed that does not require I remove the front wheel?
The bike does fit in lengthwise with the tailgate down and the bed extender gate in place. The bed is lined so there is no lip on the side rails.
Being 5' tall and on the shrinking rather than growing taller side of life the roof rack is out of the question!

You got all three options to choose from: Roof rack, hitch rack, or bed rack.
The Subaru bed rack looks particularly good. You don't have to remove the bike front wheel at all with that one-- It appears to have a tailgate extension.

A: Why would u need to replace that already?? Anyways start at the gas tank and follow the fuel lines to the front of the car. Could be near the gas tank or it could be on the firewall.
Q: Can I put a snow plow on a car? I want to put one on a Subaru Baja AWD. ?
A: Sure. Just don't expect to be able to move a lot of snow.
Q: why does my 05 subaru baja turbo smell like gas when it is below 30 and the car is cold.?
A: the reason you smell gas is because the engine is cold and it is injecting extra gas into the cylinders to help it warm up faster. it does this so the computer will come online quicker. if you notice your car is idling at a higher rpm when this is happening.
Q: Does any one know if they are going to stop making Subaru Baja???
I went online to Subaru.com and saw that all the orther models say 07.
A: The Baja was discontinued because of poor sales.
